A Real Moving Company, Not a Middleman
First Class Relocation and Storage is a family owned moving company. We started because we kept hearing the same story from people who had been burned. A quote over the phone that doubled on moving day. A crew that never showed. A company that turned out to be a broker with a website and a phone number, subcontracting the actual work to whoever was cheapest.
We built the opposite of that. We are a direct carrier, which means we own the trucks, we employ the crew and we do the work ourselves. There is no one else in the middle to blame when something goes wrong, and that is exactly the point. It keeps us accountable.

Why Licensing Matters
Anyone can rent a truck and print business cards. Operating authority is what separates a moving company from a couple of guys with a trailer. Intrastate moves in Texas require TXDMV authority, and interstate moves require USDOT and MC numbers issued by the federal government. Ours are TXDMV 009845438C, USDOT 7722094 and MC 65431228. You can look those up, and before you hire any mover you should.
How to Spot a Broker
Brokers give binding sounding quotes without ever seeing your home, ask for a large deposit upfront, and get vague when you ask who is physically doing the move. Ask any company two questions. Do you own the trucks, and will the crew that loads me be the crew that unloads me. A direct carrier answers both immediately.
